Avocado and Cottage Cheese Dip

This Avocado and Cottage Cheese Dip is a lighter, tangy alternative to traditional guacamole. The avocado makes it smooth and rich, while the cottage cheese adds a gentle tang and extra protein. Perfect for dipping crunchy vegetables, spreading on healthy crackers or serving at your next gathering — simple, delicious and ready in minutes.
What you need:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 small container of cottage cheese
- Juice of 1 lemon
Optional extras for extra flavour:
- 1 tablespoon chopped spring onions
- ½ teaspoon minced chilli pepper
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Pinch of celtric or himalayan salt and black pepper
What to do:
- Place the avocado, cottage cheese and lemon juice in a food processor or blend in a bowl with a hand stick mixer (bamix) until smooth.
- Taste and add any optional extras you like, then blend again briefly to combine.
- Transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge until ready to serve.
Tips:
- Serve with raw vegetables, healthy crackers or crispbread.
- Sprinkle over a few extra spring onions or a dash of chilli for a little kick.
