Salmon & Cottage Cheese Dip

A creamy, protein-rich dip that’s perfect for quick snacks, entertaining or healthy grazing boards.

This salmon dip is smooth, fresh and full of flavour. It’s a simple high protein spread you can whip up in minutes using pantry staples and fresh herbs. Perfect with veggie sticks or on puffed grain cakes when you want something light, tasty and satisfying.

What you need:

  • 1 can salmon in springwater, drained
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • Fresh juice from 1 lemon

Extra ingredients (finely chopped, as desired):

  • Fresh garlic
  • Parsley flakes
  • White, red, spring onions or shallots
  • Celery
  • Red capsicum
  • A little mineral sea salt & pepper

Adjust the flavours to suit your taste and keep it as mild or punchy as you like.

What to do:

  • Place all ingredients into a food processor or use a hand stick blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning or add extra lemon, herbs or vegetables if needed. Blend again until you reach your preferred texture.

Tips:

  • Serve as a dip with fresh vegetable sticks like carrot, celery, cucumber and capsicum.
  • Spread onto puffed grain cakes (brown rice, quinoa or buckwheat) topped with cucumber or tomato.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge and use within a few days for best freshness.
  • Great for quick snacks, lunch boxes or healthy entertaining platters.
